A wind-borne paper boat wanders across the calm lake waters, finding its way into the hands of a little girl playing on the waters edge. Opening up the paper boat, she sees the picture of a small boy waving at her, as though from the distant shore.
She immediately feels a connection with this little boy and replies by sending him a picture of herself waving back.

It’s the beginning of an exciting, tender and innocent correspondence between two children who have learned to connect with one another in their own unique way. Suddenly, their dialogue is brutally crushed by the careless passing of a motor boat, leaving their messages and their hopes for each other at the bottom of the lake.

Many years have passed. No more dreams, no more games, no more paper boats but, against all odds, the wind is still blowing…
